libncap44 software package provides network capture library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libncap44
libncap44 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libncap44 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libncap44 *
You will get with libncap44 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
